Shamrock's PIRANHA series Excavator Grapples have a unique design for increased production in any material handling application involving land clearing, demolition, or rock work.

PIRANHA Grapples have approximately a 10 to 1 jaw opening to closure ratio and is sized in each excavator class to utilize the maximum power of the excavator, whether handling low or high density material.

Two double-acting high pressure cylinders mounted outboard on the grapple are sized to provide clamping power that exceeds the lift capacity of the excavator and are rated to work on machine system pressure. Combined with the high closure ratio, crushing and compaction is achieved when handling clearing and demolition debris, for higher weight loads.

Long, severe duty teeth with replaceable tips enable the user to rip roots and pull stumps with minimal movement of soils. Also when raking and stacking debris, the operator is able to minimize the amount of soil captured in the raking operation.

The PIRANHA's over-center mounting design provides for increased stability of the machine when ripping and pulling stumps or handling large rocks. It mounts directly to the stick in place of a bucket and can be equipped with quick coupler luggings to fit any style of coupler.
